The books
Parents Arise! Grandparents Arise!
Two volumes for family leaders who would rather have something in their hands than a website open. Book one names ten challenges to overcome. Book two gives ten actions to take.
Written by
Al Erickson, with Patricia Malloy
Foreword by Al Quie.
Al Erickson wrote these because he believes parents and grandparents carry the main responsibility for preparing their offspring for a treacherous world — and because a curriculum on a website is not always the thing a family leader can reach for at ten o’clock at night.
The two volumes are a pair. The first is diagnostic: ten challenges that stand between a family leader and the child they are trying to reach. The second is prescriptive: ten specific actions to take, in a form you can begin this week.
The ten challenges of the first volume and the ten actions of the second are specific, pointed and all make sense. You will have to read the books to find out what they are; which I encourage you to do. For those who care about our youth today, these books are must reading.

Book one
Ten challenges to overcome
What stands in the way — in the culture, in the church, and in the ordinary distraction of family life — between a parent or grandparent and the child they are trying to prepare. Named plainly, one at a time.
Book two
Ten actions to take
The other half. Specific, pointed things a family leader can begin doing, with the reasoning behind each one and the scripture it rests on.
How to get a copy. Both volumes are moving to Amazon — the buy links will appear here once that is set up. In the meantime, contact us at info.adultssavingkids@gmail.com or 612-708-1875 and we will tell you how to obtain either volume, and what is available for congregations buying in quantity.
